I am originally from Australia, I received my B.S in Medical Science (Pathology) from Charles Stuart University before getting my honours in Biomedical Science from the University of Newcastle. During my honours, I fell in love with reproductive biology and all things oocyte. I then got my PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Newcastle (2017), where I investigated the impact of transgenerational cigarette smoke exposure and aging on female fertility. After this, I moved to the States for my postdoc exploring M-Phase regulation of oocyte meiosis under the advisement of Dr. Janice Evans, first at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (2017-2019), then at Purdue University (2019-2023). The Camlin lab started in the School of Biological, Environmental and Earth Sciences at the University of Southern Mississippi August 2023.
